MUNSYARI

Munsyari is located in the Pithoragarh district of the state of Uttarakhand.  The name, Munsyari, itself stands for a ‘place with snow’ and is often referred as ‘Little Kashmir’. It is entrance to the Johar valley and falls en route the ancient trade route to Tibet. The hill station on the banks of Goriganga River mesmerize the travelers with its scintillating beauty. It lies at the base of the Himalayan mountain range at an elevation of about 2200 m, becoming a hotspot for mountaineers, high altitude trekkers and glacier enthusiasts.
